Tarzan's Story...
11/23/09 - Tarzan came from a breeder so he is shy. He is not leashed trained, but we have a fenced yard so he goes outside to go potty. He likes to play with my dogs.He is very cute and needs a good home.
He is neutered, heartworm negative, UTD vaccines, and microchipped. He gets along well with other dogs. He is about 2 years old.
He came from a breeder and isn't use to a leash. We have a fenced yard so we did get him housebroke because we can just open the door and let him out. He is very leary of strangers...we think he may have been abused. When we first got him, if we reached down toward him to pet him, he ducked his head and backed up as though he thought we were going to hit him. I started reaching under his chin and scratching his neck and chest and he learned to trust me. He'll even let me rub his back now! He has finally learned to play with toys...I don't think he had ever had any. He loves pig ears. He needs training and a lot of attention to learn to trust people again.

Tarzan is very sweet after he gets to know you. He sleeps in a crate at night. He is learning to play with toys and likes pigears and rawhide bones.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tarzan, a Greenville Brussels Griffon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Brussels Griffon for sale in Greenville, or seeking a Brussels Griffon dog from a breeder in Greenville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greenville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greenville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Brussels Griffon breeders who help with Brussels Griffon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greenville paves the way for another one to be saved.
