Carmella's Info...
| Breed: | Domestic Shorthair | Color: | Orange Or Red (Mostly) | Age: | Adult |
| Sex: | Female | ID#: | 1745652 | Hair: | Unknown |
I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.
Carmella is a very sweet, easy-going, extremely affection+++ orange with white two year old DSH female. She is of medium size. She loves to cuddle, sit in your lap, meet you at the door when you come in, and sleep on your bed at night. She is just a great companion! She currently lives in a foster home with several other cats and enjoys their company as well. She likes to play and likes to look out her favorite window and loves visitors.
Carmella was found outside with her four kittens. They have all been adopted, but Carmella is still looking for her forever home. It was found she has a heart murmur (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy -HCM) and needs to take one pill every evening before she goes to bed. The pill is very inexpensive (about $4 a month) and she is very easy to pill. She doesn't think anything of the nightly procedure. Although she has the murmur, Carmella's life expectancy is good and she is healthy - just waiting for someone to adopt her.
If you would like to know more about Carmella, please email or call Whiskers. Carmella is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations.

Rescue Group Info...
Our mission is to provide abandoned, abused, and stray animals with a place of comfort, safety, and health and ultimately find them loving, responsible, permanent homes. We specialize in helping animals that have no advocate, those that have been abandoned on the streets or who have been abused. Secondly, we seek to reduce the population of unwanted companion animals by arranging for their spay/neutering prior to their adoption or through our Spay/Neuter & Release program. Finally, we seek to provide information to the public on how to better provide for and enjoy their companion animals.
To help fulfill our mission, Whiskers operates a shelter and maintains foster homes for housing lost, homeless, abandoned, injured or sick animals. We conduct fund-raising activities, solicit public contributions, and sell donated items to raise money to pay for the veterinary bills to alter, vaccinate, and restore health to these companion animals.

Our adoption fee is currently $50. We ask everyone to fill out an application to enable us to make a good match between the cat or kitten and the adopter.
All of our cats and kittens are neutered or spayed prior to adoption, have age appropriate vaccines and have been tested for FeLV and FIV.
We have many wonderful adult cats and kittens looking for homes. Please consider stopping by and meeting some of them. We're sure one of them will pick you for their new home!
Call 518-448-9565 and leave a message or email for more information.
