Casey's Story...
Shy but extremely gentle older kitty wants a chance at a forever home

Casey is a 5-year resident of the Whiskers shelter. He is very shy and skittish and has not really been considered adoptable until recently. He readily lets people pet him and a few people can pick him up and hold him. Casey does not have a mean bone in his body - he is just cautious. We believe Casey would bloom in a quiet household whether as an only cat or with one or more other cats. He will need adjustment time so you would be taking a chance with him but we expect that he will reward your patience with his love. Casey is 12 years old.

All of Whisker's cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, age appropriately vaccinated and tested for FELV/FIV prior to adoption.

About Whiskers Animal Benevolent League

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission is to provide abandoned, abused, and stray animals with a place of comfort, safety, and health and ultimately find them loving, responsible, permanent homes. We specialize in helping animals that have no advocate, those that have been abandoned on the streets or who have been abused. Secondly, we seek to reduce the population of unwanted companion animals by arranging for their spay/neutering prior to their adoption or through our Spay/Neuter & Release program. Finally, we seek to provide information to the public on how to better provide for and enjoy their companion animals.

To help fulfill our mission, Whiskers operates a shelter and maintains foster homes for housing lost, homeless, abandoned, injured or sick animals. We conduct fund-raising activities, solicit public contributions, and sell donated items to raise money to pay for the veterinary bills to alter, vaccinate, and restore health to these companion animals.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fee is currently $75. We ask everyone to fill out an application to enable us to make a good match between the cat or kitten and the adopter.

All of our cats and kittens are neutered or spayed prior to adoption, have age appropriate vaccines and have been tested for FeLV and FIV.

We have many wonderful adult cats and kittens looking for homes. Please consider stopping by and meeting some of them. We're sure one of them will pick you for their new home!

Call 518-458-2287 and leave a message or email for more information.

Otherwise the first step in the adoption process is to complete an adoption application at www.ewhiskers.com/apply
