Porcelina's Story...
Special needs cat has been at the shelter a long time and wants to try living in someones home

Porcelina is an extremely sweet and affectionate cat. She loves attention and comes right up to people so that everyone can see what a wonderful lady she is.

Porcelina is a Special Needs cat. She is on a special diet and medicine and will be for life. She develops 'calcium oxalate crystals' which is easily controlled by special food and daily medicine. She cannot eat regular cat food.

Porcelina had a nice home but they could not take care of her special needs and had to give her up. She is around 12 years old but looks and acts much younger - she is a very nice and active kitty. Porcelina could live with other cats as long as they are each fed separately and Porcelina is allowed to be the queen (as she is in her room at the shelter). Would you consider bringing this very Special kitty into a Special home?

All of our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, age appropriately vaccinated and tested for FELV/FIV prior to adoption.

About Whiskers Animal Benevolent League

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission is to provide abandoned, abused, and stray animals with a place of comfort, safety, and health and ultimately find them loving, responsible, permanent homes. We specialize in helping animals that have no advocate, those that have been abandoned on the streets or who have been abused. Secondly, we seek to reduce the population of unwanted companion animals by arranging for their spay/neutering prior to their adoption or through our Spay/Neuter & Release program. Finally, we seek to provide information to the public on how to better provide for and enjoy their companion animals.

To help fulfill our mission, Whiskers operates a shelter and maintains foster homes for housing lost, homeless, abandoned, injured or sick animals. We conduct fund-raising activities, solicit public contributions, and sell donated items to raise money to pay for the veterinary bills to alter, vaccinate, and restore health to these companion animals.
