Patrick's Story...
Say hello to Patrick. You may remember Patrick as he has come back to Beagle Rescue because his owner is ill and can no longer take care of him. Patrick is outgoing, self-confident and friendly. He's a little "fluffy" but that just adds to his "character." He still has his beautiful coloring and his sweet face. He loves to play and is good with other dogs and kids.

These are his pictures when he was with us in 2005. We'll get some newer ones soon.

Adoptive Status: Neutered, UTD on shots, Heartworm Negative and micro-chipped.

Dream Home Minimum Requirements: Just needs love and a human to love him.

Owner Aptitude Level: Beginner

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patrick, a Waldorf Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
