My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kingston is young male Boxer that was rescued from a kill shelter where he was at risk of being euthanized due to over crowding. He is just under a year old and is a silly, playful, affectionate Boxer pup. He is underweight at the moment but is in good health. With a good diet, regular exercise and stability in his life he will be a great companion.

Kingston is a happy, curious, playful and energetic pup. He is an intelligent dog who sits nicely on command, walks well on leash and is very responsive and eager to please. Due to his young age he has a short attention span and would definitely need someone willing to invest the time in helping him learn house manners and general obedience so he can become a capable and awesome companion.

Kingston loves to play ball and like most Boxers can be quite clownish. He can amuse himself very well however he really enjoys it when people or other dogs join him in the fun. He is a confident boy and remains calm and unmoved when approached by more dominant dogs. He loves to play with other dogs and is also fine with cats.

Along with training, Kingston will need an owner that can be the alpha and who will ensure that he gets a good daily walk as well as the opportunity to run and play off leash in a safe area whether that be a backyard or trips to the dog park. Boxers are very loyal to their family and are fine with known visitors but being protective by nature they need to be well socialized and introduced to strangers properly. They can remain very active sometimes even into old age. Meek owners will find their Boxers become stubborn, sneaky, boisterous and hard to control. For this reason Kingston would not be a good choice for a first time dog owner and we would expect any adopter to have large breed if not previous Boxer experience.

Kingston is a handsome boy that is well on his way to becoming a great companion.
