Furball's Info...

I am up to date with shots and good with dogs.

Furball's Story...
I'm a cuddly ball of fur, for sure. Not sure of my breeds, but maybe border collie/shepherd with a bit of dachshund? I'm not very big, but I'm only a few months old, born about April 2009. In some poses I sort of look like a man with a beard. :) I am new at the shelter so write or call to find out more about me! I’ll need a fenced exercise area of adequate size.
Please note: All pets are neutered/spayed before adoption.

Email (info@humanecherokeecounty.org) or call (918-457-7997) for more information. Adoption applications can be filled out and submitted by clicking on the "Adoption Application" link:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Furball, a Tahlequah Border Collie/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Dachshund for sale in Tahlequah, or seeking a Border Collie/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Tahlequah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tahlequah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tahlequah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Dachshund breeders who help with Border Collie/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tahlequah paves the way for another one to be saved.
