Lorna's Story...
Sweet Lorna was found wandering stray with Fletcher, another current resident. She has obviously had a hard life and still looks a little worse for wear. She is a shy violet and very, very sweet and soft. Despite her hardships, she is oh so people friendly and doesn't hold a grudge. She can obviously get along with male dogs since she was found with one. We haven't tested her with other females yet. Lorna is an affectionate darling who just needs a little TLC and a second chance to look and feel like a million bucks. She's moderate activity and won't demand a daily marathon to stay sane.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lorna, a Berkeley American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
