Snickers's Story...

Snickers (and Bebe) are a beautiful and intelligent spoiled rotten mother daughter bonded pair that came from an owner turn in. Snickers is the mama and is around 4 years old, and Bebe is around 2 and a half years old. Unfortunately, severe allergies to the dogs prompted the owner to turn over these little girls. She tried everything in order to keep them, as they were her life. They were loved and cherished by their mama before and we want nothing less for their new home.

Snickers (and Bebe) both have very sweet demeanors and once they trust you and their surroundings, they become the sweethearts we know them to be. They need and deserve a good home, where there will never be a fear of them being taken away from one another and they can live and play and be happy with their new forever home and family.

They are both very playful and loving and are a bonded mother-daughter pair and MUST stay together.

They both would do well with children 10 years old and up who has dachshund experience.

Bebe, being longhaired will need to be groomed on a regular basis, otherwise things can get caught in her coat and cause matting, which can be painful for the her if not properly taken care of. She does not necessarily need to go to the groomer as her hair is not like other long hairs. In other words she has "short, long hair". (sorry to anyone if that does not make sense). Maintenance brushing, with a proper grooming brush, on Bebe would be all that really is required of her, with a nice trip to the groomers every other month or so.

Most dogs especially older ones are housetrained, like these little guys are, they can use a doggy door. However, it should be reminded that there will be few accidents in the beginning as all of the dogs are nervous and uncomfortable in new surroundings, until they get accustom to their new home. With proper discipline from the beginning, and corrective techniques, this behavior should stop within a few weeks.

Tax deductable Adoption fees for her has not been set yet.

Snickers (and BEBE) are both spayed and are up to date on all of their shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snickers, a Garden Grove Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Garden Grove, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Garden Grove.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garden Grove already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garden Grove breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garden Grove paves the way for another one to be saved.
