Bandit's Foster Mom writes: "Bandit is a wonderful 16 month old Mal who is ready for adoption. She is sweet girl with a beautiful face ready to steal your heart. While she is friendly with everyone, she is too excited when meeting small children. She may push them down, mouth them or claw at them for attention. She should not be in a home with small children unless they are willing to manage her initial exuberance. She walks very well on leash, once the initial excitement wears off. She does get pretty excited when she sees little children or rabbits, however. She is very good with other dogs and used to live with another dog. She would love to be in a two or more dog household, but would be fine as an only dog as long as she got plenty of exercise and attention. She is cat friendly and has honestly tried to pet them but will chase them if they run. When they stop, they had better be prepared for some intense sniffing! Bandit has some reluctance to get into a vehicle but is otherwise a good traveler. Before her rescue, she didn’t get much exercise, but she is sure turning into an athlete. Beneath that masks lies the heart of a waterdog or at least a wading dog. Bandit loves to play in the water and doesn’t mind getting dunked or taking very shorts swims. She jumps over dogs her size and even bigger. She loves playing with balls by herself and with other dogs. She also loves to tickle people!"
