Zane & Zoe's Story...
Zane and Zoe are some of the most fascinating looking kittens we have seen. The closest breed they resemble is the rare Nebelung. We don't know if they have a purebred background or not as we couldn't find the parents of these poor sweeties. They are brother and sister and have a medium length stunning grey coat and the biggest, wide-eyed expression a kitten could have. We are working on making people a delight to them as opposed to something a bit scary right now. They came to us as strays and didn't have a lot of human touch beforehand. Someone with previous experience in kitten socialization should do really well with helping these two gorgeous creatures out. They must stay together. And what an amazing looking pair - a great reward for helping make the quality of Zane and Zoe's life so much better!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zane & Zoe, a New York Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New York, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
