Ruff Ruff! My name is Buckwheat
|Size:||Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less||Sex:||Male|
I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Buckwheat came from a family who could no longer care for him. He loves his caretakers at HUA. He is overjoyed to see them, doing happy dances, jumps and twirls in the air. He gives kisses, plays and loves to snuggle. His caretakers say he acts like royalty, just knowing that all good things in life are meant for him. He is a bit fearful of new people, but once he decides they are ok he is all fun and games!
Buckwheat is a male Chihuahua. He was born 04/23/06 and weighs 5.5 pounds.
Please visit Buckwheat at his very own web page: http://www.hua.org/Dogs-For-Adoption/Buckwheat.html

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill animal shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization dedicated to the relief of suffering. We rescue dogs from all over the country and specialize in long distance adoptions. We take the creatures who are lost, afraid, hungry or ill and comfort them, give them a warm, soft bed, good food, medical care and most of all, love.
HUA is a place of happiness, joy and love. Everything we do is in the best interest of the dogs. There are no cages. The dogs have big fields of grass and trees in which to run. Our primary interest is what will make them happy. HUA is a place to celebrate the joy of life.
All of our pets are available for viewing on the internet at www.hua.org. Come read their stories and see their individual pages.
The adoption fee for all dogs is $200.
We require an application (found on our website). We also require a home visit and vet reference check. Fenced yards are required for most dogs. Many of our dogs may not be good with children, or it may depend on the age of the children...please feel free to ask who we would consider good with young ones.
All dogs will come spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention.
We put the welfare of the dogs before all else and are very careful with their placement. Many of our dogs are puppy mill survivors or have otherwise been physically or emotionally traumatized. Our goal is to find them the very best homes possible where they will be loved and adored family members, where they will be kept safe and receive no less than exceptional care for the rest of their lives.
