Amos's Story...
Don't you love that smile! Amos is a beautiful brindle-colored hound mix. He is friendly and sweet but a little shy at first. Amos likes to play with other dogs and to play with toys. He will give kisses and nuzzle your neck. He was born on 4/15/09 and he will still chase a leaf like a puppy. Amos has a brother Andy who may be part Shar Pei but he is also available for adoption. Both have a single coat with short hair and a dark muzzle. These pictures were taken on 10/24/09. He now weighes 50 pounds. Amos has had his rabies shot and is on heartworm prevention. He was neutered and microchipped on 10/15/09. Amos would love to find a family to call his own.

This pet comes with an implanted 24PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amos, a McCormick Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in McCormick, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in McCormick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McCormick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McCormick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McCormick paves the way for another one to be saved.
