NG Dancing Comet's Story...
14 yr old Registered Arabian Mare, Comet is our diva. She will run through the pasture with her tail up and her nose pointing skyward as if she is too good for the rest of us, but really she is a very sweet and gentle mare. She came to DCER in 2006 with her 7 yr old son Bahzra as a bonded pair and quickly proved that when given the choice, they would rather bond with other horses than each other. Bahz was adopted last year but Comet is still awaiting her special human. She is rideable, has no health concens but will need updating on her training as she has been languishing in pasture for the past 2 yrs. For the right person, she will be a dream horse.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

NG Dancing Comet, a Pueblo Arabian was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Arabian for sale in Pueblo, or seeking a Arabian from a breeder in Pueblo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pueblo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pueblo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Arabian breeders who help with Arabian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pueblo paves the way for another one to be saved.
