My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rey is approx 5 months old and currently about 15bs. We don't know what his exact breed is but we suspect he may be a mix of Formosan Mountain Dog (aka Moon Howler), a breed indigenous to Taiwan. We are not sure how big he will get. Our guess right now is about 30 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, and current on shots.

Rey is a curious and feisty little fellow. Some sugar and definitely lots of spice. He loves toys and is the life of every doggie party. He has a good amount of puppy energy so should go to a home that will give him sufficient exercise. Like to run, bike, hike? Have another dog that loves to play play play? Then Rey is the perfect dog for you.

Rey would do best with a family who isn't afraid to provide consistent discipline, boundaries, and leadership. He's a lovable little character but can be a handful and without the proper training and discipline, that might get easily out of control. Obedience training would be a great way for you to bond as well as providing him with the structure to be a canine ambassador.

If you are interested in adopting Rey, please submit a completed application. There is a $275 tax-deductible adoption fee, which helps to offset the numerous medical expenses the rescue incurs. Rey is currently being fostered in Petaluma. A homecheck will be required to ensure each dog goes to a suitable environment.
