Dahlia's Story...
Hello, my name is Dahlia and I was born around april-28-2009 and put up for adoption in june 09. I am a spayed short haired torbie. I love other cats, but I do need a bit of socializing with people. Dahlia loves to sleep and at times she will even wake up and play. She is sweet calm and affectionate once familiar with a person. She is very soft and vocal when playing. Dahlia was born at the shelter to another one of the cats named Sweet Pea. She cant wait to learn what is beyond the walls of the shelter in her new home. I am FIV and FeLV tested negative, current on my FVRCP vaccinations, and I am microchipped and house trained. My adoption fee is a bargain considering all that has been done for me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dahlia, a El Cajon Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
