Chong's Story...
Howdy! I’m a happy little fella named Chong! No, not like Cheech and Chong! I keep on the straight and narrow path! I’m a good boy! Innocent even! I’m sweet as could be! I love other dogs and kids too! Maybe even the cat, though I don’t know yet… I’m learning some tricks and can’t wait to continue my training! I’m 1 year, 17 pounds, and I’m sure I’ll make some family very happy some day! My adoption fee is $220 and includes; neuter, microchip, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chong, a Portland Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Portland, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
