Violet's Story...
Violet is a very sweet natured @ 3 yr old chocolate dilute horsecoat who is oh so affectionate and loving. Violet was a stray that followed a handsome male back to his big back yard and had an affair, then she stayed on until after their babies were given away.
Now it's time for her to find a family of her own. She is a quiet and well mannered young lady who enjoys receiving the kind of attention that she deserves. She is friendly with people and children, and has not paid any notice to the cats. She is not a finicky eater at all and cleans her bowl....wagging her tail with pleasure.
Violet is currently undergoing heartworm treatment but could move on to her forever home where she could complete her treatment under NASPR's care.
Violet is beautiful and has a wonderful couldn't ask for a more perfect companion. .

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Violet, a Houston Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei for sale in Houston, or seeking a Shar Pei dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei breeders who help with Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
