Nacho's Info...

I am in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Nacho's Story...
Diego and his friends came to VPAS after being born to a stray cat. Although they were living in a busy neighbourhood they spent the first few weeks of their lives not knowing what it was like to have human companionship. They were in foster care for several weeks getting used to life indoors, but because they were not hand-raised they are more shy than a litter of domestic kittens would be. Their time in foster care has really helped to bring them out of their shells and their are now ready for adoption.

Because these kitties are a little shy and nervous in new and scary situations they will not be appropriate for a home with small children at this time. They had both large dogs, and other cats in their foster home and they were comfortable with them.

If you have a quiet home and a lot of love and patience to give to a new friend please go to PetSmart in Langford to visit with Nacho.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nacho, a Saanichton Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Saanichton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Saanichton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saanichton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saanichton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saanichton paves the way for another one to be saved.
