My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***RESCUED - NOW NEEDS A FAMILY*** Riddle was pulled from a high kill shelter in North Carolina on the day he was to be euthanized. He is a very high energy puppy, about a 6-8 months old. Riddle's favorite thing to do is give hugs by literally wrapping his front legs around his humans and holding on and giving kisses. Riddle's personality is so amazing and interactive with people that we simply had to rescue him. He is fabulous with other dogs and children, too!

Riddle has had all his shots and been de-wormed. He will be neutered and vetted prior to adoption. He has shown absolutely no aggression (food or otherwise) with our children or with any adults. Riddle is an extremely lovable puppy who just wants love and exercise (and some nourishing meals, as he is quite underweight at 35 lbs.). Riddle is almost full grown. He is can be quite rambunctious when first let out of his crate so potential adopters need to be committed to giving him the training he deserves to bring out his full potential. We believe once he was used to a home life he will settle down nicely.

The only thing known for sure about these rescued dogs is they were going to die Friday if no one saved them. Temperament testing is done in NC before transport, and here in MD upon their arrival to ensure friendliness but no guarantees are made or implied about them as each home situation is different and it is impossible to test them against every kind of stimuli. Most shelter dogs will need basic training and a refresher in housebreaking. Interested adopters and fosters should contact Beata Kinsey (301) 219-2159. Riddle - he hugs! is up-to-date with routine shots and house trained.
