Bully's Story...
After a lifetime of service to one family, Bully was an owner surrender at the tender age of 12 years old. We're rooting for a utopian placement for Bully so he can live his golden years in the lap of luxury to make up for this latest turn in his life. He is reactive to other dogs but we think that may be partly lack of socialization and we think he could adjust to another well matched dog in his home with proper introduction and management. He is oh so soft and sweet with people and grateful for any and all attention he receives. Bully is going to be very low maintenance and a walk down the block (literally) or no walk at all will suit him fine. He'll do a lot of sleeping. He's the ultimate couch warmer. He is ultra lovable and deserves a final chance at a committed, doting human in his life.

Act quickly to adopt Bully. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bully, a Berkeley American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
