Here's what the humans have to say about me:
NILES - ID# A003971
Niles is a neutered male, black American Pit Bull Terrier and Laborador Retriever mix. The shelter thinks he was about 2 years old when he arrived on May 2, 2005 and weighs about 64 lbs.
Niles is a beautiful, playful, exuberant Lab/pit bull mix who has been at our shelter for over a year. He's friendly and loves to play with toys, especially squeaky ones that make a lot of noise! Though he is strong, he walks well on leash and knows commands such as sit, stay, down, paw and crawl. Niles likes to tease his handlers to see if they're REALLY in charge, so he would do best in a home with an experienced dog owner. He's good-natured and responds very well to an assertive, calm voice. Because he is so strong and playful, we recommend a home without other animals. He would thrive in an active home without small children.
Niles is a good-time guy who's up for any adventure. He has a great attitude despite being at the shelter for so long. He really seems to enjoy life to the fullest, no matter what hard times he's had in the past. Are you the one who can give him the affection and play time he deserves?
