Chandler's Story...
Hey there! I’m Chandler. I was just at the vet and they are estimating that I am 1-2 years old. Can you believe that? I am so tiny don’t you think? I got my name because if you watch the t.v. show “Friends” you know Chandler Bing and how silly and yet sweet he was. Well, that’s how I am too. I was brought to HEA, because I was abandoned at a rental duplex when my family moved to Florida. Not so nice of them, but even with this bad experience, I still think people are pretty darn awesome, especially when they give me love and attention. When the owner of the duplex brought me to HEA, she had me loose in her car and when she opened the door I ran out because I was so scared, but then the director of HEA saw me and got down on her hands and knees and crawled to me and talked to me the whole time. She promised everything would be okay and that I would find a family that would love me forever and not abandon me. Maybe that family is you. ~Rubs of love, Chandler
Chandler is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chandler, a Marion Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marion, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marion.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marion already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marion breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marion paves the way for another one to be saved.
