Lona's Love's Story...
Lona's Love is a beautiful bay thoroughbred mare with a sweet, gentle disposition. She is easy to handle and with a little retraining, she could be rideable. Lona was raced in her younger days and has been a broodmare for the past several years. She is 20 years young and in great shape. She does have some cracks on her front feet only, but our farrier is working on those plus we are adding supplements to her diet so she will grow out stronger, healthier hooves.

Angel Horse Rescue, Inc. was founded in February 2004. We received our 501(c)3 tax exempt status from the IRS in 2005. We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of neglected, abused and horses at risk for slaughter.

Our Adoption Process...
Potential adopters will need to fill out and submit our adoption application. We will conduct a property inspection to verify suitability for horses. We also require an adoption contract - our application, adoption policies and a copy of the contract can be found on our website www.angelhorserescue.org on the adoption page. There is an adoption fee ranging from $50 - $500 depending on the horse.
