Skippy's Story...
Skippy is a sweet 17 pound Rat Terrier mix. This brown and black pup was born 10/15/04 and is current on vaccinations. Skippy has been neutered and is eager to find his “forever” home. He enjoys playing with other dogs, and if there is no one else to play with, he can entertain himself well with a toy. Skippy has been crated some at night, but he really enjoys snuggling in bed with the special people in his life. His two favorite things in life are playing and snuggling! Skippy is house trained and will go to the door when he needs to go out. Give us a call at 507-451-4512 if you’d like to find out more about this perfect pooch. (AC)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skippy, a Owatonna Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Owatonna, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Owatonna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owatonna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owatonna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owatonna paves the way for another one to be saved.
