Archie's Story...

Archie is a happy, happy boy. He and Rory play all day long. Archie needs to finish his heart worm treatment and will then be looking for a home where he will be loved forever.

Hi, my name now is Archie.

You see, I just got picked up yesterday (March 18 2009) with my brother by YSDR. We were left in a vacant lot and nice people were stopping by giving us food and water but we sure couldn't last like that. Even with all of that, we are both very sweet and love to be loved. Foster Mom took us right to the vet where we got our shots, exam and microchipped, OH, and we got groomed.

Since we were outside and not on heart worm preventative, we both have heart worms so will have to stay with YSDR for a while before we can go to our forever home.

What we both need for now is help with our heart worm treatment coming up.

You can see more of my brother on here too. His name is Rory. We may want to go to a forever home together later.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Conroe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Conroe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Conroe paves the way for another one to be saved.
