Bono's Story...
This is one of six ORPHANS; we have NO IDEA what mommy and daddy were other than papa was a rolling stone. The vet suggested they could be a Shih Tzu mix and will probably be a smaller dog - 20-30# range.

What we can tell you is they are 5 weeks old (11.4.09) a litter of 7 and were in an isolation area of a shelter where a lactating beagle mix fed and nurtured them.

They are active, healthy, eating puppy kibble and are just about the cutest little babies you will find. They will be playing, eating, peeing, pooing and resting with us for another 3 weeks. We always encourage pre-adoption for little ones and welcome a home visit.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bono, a Marietta Shih Tzu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Shih Tzu puppy from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
