Ralph's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, and up to date with shots.

Ralph's Story...
Shortie came into our rescue due to a divorce. He is 5 years old and house broken. He is great with other dogs. We are not sure about cats but we think he would be fine. He would do better with older children, as most Pekes aren't great with small children. He is up to date on all his medical. He is very sweet and just wants a home where he can remain the rest of his life.

If you can offer this Pekingese a forever home, please contact: haveninhim@aol.com or brev498@aol.com An application, home check and vet check are required. We adopt in the states of Maryland, Virginia and some areas of NC. If you would like to sponsor this Pekingese, a check of any amount can be sent to: Potomac Valley Pekingese Club, Dian Thomas, P.O. Box 220952, Chantilly, VA 20153-0952 or you can make a donation by going to www.potomacpekes.org and using paypal. All donations are tax-deductible.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ralph, a Virginia Beach Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
