Darla's Story...

Darla is a Beagle/Shepherd Mix. She is Tri-Colored. Darla is 1 Year Old. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She weighs around 40 lbs.

Darla is a beautiful girl who just wants to snuggle! She loves to run around and play in the yard with her friends and after a few laps around the yard she lays down and watches everyone else play. Darla is a very pretty girl who loves to back talk. Whenever you tell her something she answers back with a Woo, Wolf or Bark! Whenever she's not back talking you, she loves to snuggle on your lap. When your sitting on the couch she'll wait around and as soon as you tap your leg or pat the space next to you and she jumps right up and wants to snuggle on your lap. Darla also loves any squeaky toys, she loves the ones with stuffing in them but has a habit of wanting to find that squeaker! Darla loves to play in a fenced in yard, and even when walking on a leash she loves to go hiking! She's up for anything and has the perfect personality for a family who wants a dog to have fun and be active outdoors and snuggle up and cuddle indoors with them. Darla just wants a forever home where she will get the attention she deserves.

Darla would do well in any household. Darla loves everyone she meets including adults, kids and other dogs. She loves to play with other dogs, running and playing tag through the leafs. We would really want Darla to go to a home with a fenced in yard or a family who has access to one. Darla is almost housetrained with a fenced in yard. She will go potty on the leash if you go for long walks with her, so it would be best if she had a fenced in backyard. Darla loves other dogs and would love a doggie pal to hang around with, or someone who can spend lots of time snuggling with her. She's a great girl, with a spit fire personality that would make a great addition to any family.

Darla is not aggressive with other dogs, she has been with small, large, young and old dogs.

At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors.

There is a $100 Adoption Fee for all dogs. Which includes the Spay/Neuter, Parvo/Distemper Combo Shot, Rabies Shot, Worming, Heartworm Tested Negative if over 6 months and Flea/Tick Prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darla, a Latrobe Beagle/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Latrobe, or seeking a Beagle/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Latrobe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Latrobe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Latrobe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Beagle/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Latrobe paves the way for another one to be saved.
