I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Can you imagine this poor pup wandering around in the woods? Well ... Forrest was found by a hunter, barely able to stand on his own in the middle of a 'forest'. The hunter couldn't imagine what the white fur was there in the woods? Luckily he scooped him up and brought him to the nearest shelter. That's where we heard about his terrible plight. Forrest was terribly thin, overgrown, and scared to death. Forrest has come a long way since he was rescued. He was neutered, given all his vaccinations, and treated for parasites. We believe he is barely a year old, if that. He should weigh at least 10-12 lbs. once he has gained his proper weight. Forrest is just learning to trust people again. He will require patience, and kindness and when he's ready lots of cuddle time. He LOVES the 100lb. dog in his foster home, follows him everwhere. He doesn't seem to mind the cats. He will snuggle up with you in bed, or if you are reading on the couch... he is so beautiful. It wont take long... he's already trying to figure out what toys are for... and he loves "treat" time. If you can provide Forrest with the home he greatly deserves, please e-mail us to request and adoption application. Adoption fee is $275.00.
Please be aware that it is the opinion of this rescue group, in conjunction with dog behaviorists, that a young puppy benefits greatly with proper socialization. We will only place puppies younger than 6 months, in homes where they have the opportunity to be with someone all day, or travel to work, or have special arrangements, such as Puppy DayCare, Dog Walker, etc.
Breed Selection is 'Best Efforts' given by shelter staff, veterinarians and rescue volunteers. No guarantees are implied.
Remember adoption is a Commitment for the lifetime of your new furry friend, Dogs could live to be 15 years or more!!
