Krosby's Story...
Krosby is one of 7 puppies that were dumped outside a WY shelter during the night at just barely three weeks old. Thanks to his tireless foster mom, he and all of his brother and sisters quickly took to bottle feeding and grew up healthy and happy without missing a beat! Krosby is 12 weeks old as of 11/10, and looking for a loving forever home who will appreciate him for the wonderful pup that he is! While there's obviously something (maybe lab?) besides BC in him, he definitely got the BC brains in the equation as he is smart, smart, smart! He's already crate-trained, housetrained and still just a baby!

He may be a little guy, but he has a TON of character who loves to make people laugh. He is also very food motivated, which makes teaching him new things a breeze! He learned how to sit with one try, and now if there's food around, he'll run in front of you to plop his puppy butt on the floor, since that's what got him a treat the first time! He loves playing with other dogs, and just can't figure out why the cats in his foster home don't "feel the love" like he does. He tries to engage them in play but will call off easily.

Krosby is current on vaccinations, and his adoption will include a $100 neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee. The deposit will be cheerfully refunded to his adoptive family once proof of neuter is provided at/around 6 months of age. Krosby is living in a loving foster home near Fort Collins, CO.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Krosby, a Denver Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Denver, or seeking a Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
