Mandy's Story...
I’m a sweet girl who used to have a family. But like the song that inspired my name says, “they sent me away, oh Mandy.” See, my parents got divorced, so they dumped me at the county pound. I was so upset! I had no idea what was going on and I thought I’d done something wrong. I was really scared at the pound, especially when I learned my time was up. Fortunately, FOHA came to my rescue just in time. I can’t tell you how grateful I was that day. I hope my new family will be more grateful to have such a loving, faithful friend. In my previous home I lived with four children, so it’s safe to say I’m good with kids. I’m also good with dogs. I’m a calm and gentle girl who enjoys riding in the car and going for walks. I’m also an intelligent girl who’s eager to please and eager to love, and I’m already housetrained, too. I’m a great girl who deserves a great family who will love me as much as I’ll love them. APPLICATION PENDING!!! (Please Note: I can only be adopted in the DC Metropolitan area. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mandy, a Aldie Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
