Oliver's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Oliver's Story...
Oliver looks to be 2 to 3 years old. Just the perfect age, especially for this breed. Rat Terriers are highly intelligent not to mention very active little dogs. Once they get over the hump of the puppy and adolescent stage of their lives they usually turn into wonderful loyal companions. Oliver seems to have reached that milestone and has been a wonderful guest in his foster home. He was not neutered prior to coming into rescue so there is a little bit of testosterone to work through but nothing that won't go away. Oliver gets along with the other dogs and the cats in his foster home. A fenced yard will be required for Oliver as he is a runner.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver, a Columbus Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
