Ruby's Story...
Ruby is a 6-7 month old border collie mix puppy that is just a happy, happy girl---we noticed when she was a bit younger she and her mother were dropped at the shelter and her mom was put to sleep because the shelter was crowded and that left this sweet puppy alone and wondering what had happened in her short life. Ruby is now enoying life outside of a cage ....she is able to be a pup..she loves her new toys...loves the other dogs..not an alpha dog at all kissing everyone that will let her to show her new affection....Ruby is microchipped/spayed/all vaccinations and is on heartguard.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruby, a Sacramento Border Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
