York's Info...

I am good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

York's Story...
This is one of five little ones brought to an animal shelter by an owner that did not want them after they had been weaned. They did not indicate parent's breed to animal services. They are approximately 9 weeks old and could be Golden Retriever/ Black Lab mixes. Three are very fluffy and two are smoother coat. The female is the more timid and obviously smaller. We've decided they were all so sweet we'd give them candy names! They will be available to take home on Saturday, November 21. BUT you can adopt now!

Rescued: 11.13.09

Why Adoption is a Great Option

York, a Marietta Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
