Paloma's Story...
Paloma: Spanish for pigeon and dove… Let’s go with dove, Ok? I mean, I’m no rat with wings! I’m a cute little angelic dove– just like a little angle… I came from one of those situations where the people just had too many dogs to care for… So, I’m a little on the shy side, doesn’t mean I’m not sweet as can be! I just like someone to give me a little time to warm up. So, If you’re a patient person with a big old heart, I’m a lookin’ for you!!! 2 year old-7lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; spay, microchip, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paloma, a Portland Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Portland, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
