Colby's Story...
Colby's situation is one of the saddest we have come across. Raised since puppyhood in a loving home, his mom recently was diagnosed with cancer. She has been in and out of the hospital and is very worried about the welfare of her 5 year old Colby. Her daughter would love to take him, but with two dogs of her own and a growing family, she just has no room. She reports that Colby is wonderful with people and other dogs. If you are interested in adopting a older dog, please consider Colby. Please visit our website and fill out an application. Upon receipt, a volunteer from A & S Rescue will contact you. Thank you for looking!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Colby, a Cary American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Cary, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Cary.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cary already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cary breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cary paves the way for another one to be saved.
