My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

STella is one of the saddest dogs you will ever see. Tied up to a house after the former owners moved, Stella was picked up by animal control and brought to the pound. Extremely depressed in the cage, as well as unkept looking, Stella was not passed for adoption and destined for euthanasia. But, we decided to give her a chance. Stella is a mature dog -- about 6 or 7 years-old, SMALL in size, VERY QUIET, and VERY GENTLE and SWEET. Very easy to walk, NON-FOOD AGGRESSIVE and VERY HOUSEBROKEN. Good around other dogs and we presume, cats. Although Stella is fine around other dogs, we would like to find a caring foster home for her rather than put her in Doggie Day Care with many young dogs who will jump on and want to play with her. She desperately needs time to come out of her sadness and lots of TLC. We will get her cleaned up, but can you provide some love and care? Please call us, rather than email if you can help this gentle, sweet soul. (212) 427-8273.
