Toby's Story...
THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING--PLEASE SEE THE CONTACT INFORMATION LISTED-- Every now and then when you rescue an animal, their story breaks your heart. Toby comes with such a story. She is 7 months old. She was rescued from near starvation and provided a loving home with an elderly gentleman who was looking for a companion dog to help his existing boxer (Junior) overcome his grief. Toby and Junior instantly bonded and soon Junior overcame his grief and the two of them are now inseparable. The gentleman has passed away at the young age of 93 and now we are tasked with finding a forever home for the two of them. Toby is a beautful brindle. Her tail has not been docked as you can see in the picture. She is a loveable, low-key boxer who often will rely on Junior to let her know if something is okay or not. Toby walks beautifully on a leash. If you can find it in your heart to adopt both of these dogs, please call their foster mom, Deb at 208-260-1646 or e-mail at quiltie@cableone.net They are currently being fostered in Paul, Idaho.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a Meridian Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
