ELSIE's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

ELSIE's Story...
Elsie is a courtesy post for a fellow rescuer in the Youngstown area.
Poor Elsie's owners moved and left her behind with no thought of what might happen to this older dog.
Mahoning county still uses "heartstick" as a means of euthanasia.
Elsie sure didn't deserve to end up in that situation ... having a needle stuck in her heart (without anesthetic) and being electrocuted.

I don't know much about this dog, only that she is spayed. However, she does have a sponsor who has graciously offered to pay for full vetting. She also appears to be house trained and doesn't seem to mind a crate.

I assume that she is OK with children and also seems to do well with other dogs. Not sure about cats.

If you are interested in Elsie, please contact me for further information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ELSIE, a Columbus Beagle/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Pointer for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Beagle/Pointer dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Pointer breeders who help with Beagle/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
