Fritz and Fido came to the shelter together after their owner died. They are small sized seniors and have obviously been companions all their lives; most likely they are brothers. They sleep together, eat together and where one goes the other will be within a few feet. If they were human they would have the same mannerisms and finish each other’s sentences. The shelter rarely attempts to keep dogs together but the bond between Fido and Fritz is so strong it is essential they both go to the same home. These guys are low energy and very low maintenance so any calm, loving home would be suitable and they will always be happy as long as they have each other.
Please call the shelter 516-944-8220 during working hours (Mon. to Fri. 9AM-4PM; Sat. 10-4PM) for more information about Fido, the adoption process at the shelter, and to confirm availability. Please go to www.theshelterconnection.com for more information about and directions to the shelter.
