Tugger's Story...
Are you looking for a dog in a cat's body? Tugger is a super fabulous grey and white tuxedo tabby with very distinctive markings, and what a lover!!! He's between 1 and 2 years old, and his foster mom says he has one of the best personalities of any cat she's ever met. Tugger loves attention, loves to cuddle, loves to play - he will actually "fetch" a ball and bring it back to you to throw again. He's very sweet with little kids who understand at least the basics of how to treat a cat. Tugger is very much a people pleaser, really a lot like a dog in that way. Unfortunately, he does not get on well with other cats, and probably should be your one and only. That said, he has proven to be quite clean and uses the litter box well, not a huge shedder, and scratches only where allowed. You are not going to find a better companion cat than this sweet and funny little guy.

Tugger's adoption fee of $115 includes: vet exam, feline leukemia test, FIV test, FVRCP (distemper combo) vaccination, rabies vaccination, deworming, microchip and neutering.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tugger, a Mt. Prospect Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
