My story

This is Peggy Sue. She is being fostered in a home with a Cattle Dog Rescue group. Here is a description that they sent for her:

Peggy Sue is a very darling gal. She is so full of affection of everyone she meets. We estimate her age to be about 5 years old. She is a blue (Smithfield Blue) with no red molding to her color. Peggy has a docked tail that is encircled by one big black spot.. Peggy has been socialized with the dogs at her foster mom's (other cattle dogs, toy breed, and a large breed). She does very well and mingles nicely. She has not shown too much interest in playing with the dogs, she prefers attention from her humans. Peggy will do just fine as an only dog. She is house trained, uses a dog door, and has great house manners. She loves sleeping on her dog bed. Peggy is very responsive to correction, she will submiss. She does know sit and come. Has a wonderful recall. We have no prior history from her stay at the shelter. Peggy is spayed, vaccinated, and is heart worm negative. She shows no sign of separation anxiety as her foster mom works during the day. We feel Peggy would be a great family dog and would love kids. However she does jump up so kids under 5 may get knocked down. Peggy weighs about 50lbs and should only weigh 45lbs. With some weekly walking she would soon reach her goal weight.
