Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Charlie is a bichon mix who were rescued from a puppy mill which was going out of business. The owner said he would shoot any dogs that rescues didn't take, and we are so happy that Charlie is now in foster care while he is waiting for his forever home. Charlie appears to be a bichon mixed with poodle. He is about 2 years old and he weighs 12 pounds. Charlie's coats had to be shaved down as he was matted, but it appears his coat is the very low shedding variety found in bichons and poodles. Because of his puppy mill origin, Charlie is still a bit timid with people and will benefit from an experienced adopter who will be very patient with him and commit to ongoing socialization and obedience training. Charlie is very playful and does best with larger dogs. He will do best with someone home part of the day to continue his socialization; gentle, quiet kids older than 12; a fenced yard; and another well socialized dog to show them the ropes. Charlie is with a 501c3 non profit rescue. His $250 adoption fee covers his neuter, dental, heartworm test and pill, shots, worming, grooming and HomeAgain microchip.
