My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dog Story:
Hello, Jerry here … thanks for the taking the time to read our story. My brother, Tom and I came into foster care 4 months ago. We spent the first 8 weeks of foster care down in Georgia undergoing heartworm treatment. We have completed the treatment and are doing really well in our new MD foster home. We are living with an 11 year old female Brittany, two adults and two young children.

Since we have been together all our lives, we are hoping that someone will open their heart and adopt both of us. You see, Tom and I do everything together … we walk side by side, play with each other, eat from the same dish, share our chew bones and sleep next to each other in “our room” (crate). I am the leader of our pack and Tom is the shy one. We are small brittanys, both weighing less than 40 lbs. I am not bragging but we are really sweet and good looking guys. I am the one with more white on my face in the pictures.

We really aren’t much trouble at all. When we are inside the house, we are rather quiet and spend most of our time in our crate. We are not aggressive, don't bark much and just love to be petted. But we are typical brittanys when we are outside, we love to run, sniff and explore. A fenced in yard would be a great place for us to get burn off some of our energy.

We are hoping our new family will teach us our manners and how to walk nicely on the leash. Right now, it is more fun sniffing and watching stuff then being obedient on the leash. We have had some accidents in the house but know that we can be completely housetrained with some structure and consistency.

I know it might be hard for someone to take in both of us but I really love my brother. I can’t imagine not sleeping next to him at night and being together during the day. Please think about it…we are smart and promise to be really good and learn everything you want to teach us.

Foster Mom Janet here … these dogs are a real prize and will make wonderful family companions. They just need your time, attention and love. It would be wonderful to keep them together because they are very attached to each other. If you have ever thought about having 2 dogs, here is your chance. If you are interested in adopting us please fill out our online adoption at www.americanbrittanyrescue.org!

History:
We were found together in TN and taken into ABR last August. We went through our heartworm treatment in GA and then brought up to MD for fostering.
