Cammi's Story...
Cammi, a lovely black, orange and white calico, is about 2 years old. She came into the shelter pregnant, and she and her kittens were fostered. They have been adopted and now it's Cammie's turn, please? She is a very playful lady and just soaks up the attention. And please remember: Kittens are cute but adult cats are wonderful also. With adults, it's WYSWYG, "what you see is what you get" so you'll know their temperament, very important for a lot of people. We rescue many adult cats at the shelter, many relinquished by owners who are moving to a place where pets are not allowed. These are wonderful companions who have many good years ahead of them and are VERY deserving of a good home. Come see, you'll agree!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cammi, a Port Lavaca Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Port Lavaca, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Port Lavaca.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port Lavaca already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port Lavaca breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port Lavaca paves the way for another one to be saved.
