SMITTY's Story...
5/4/10 -- Smitty is just over 1 year of age and still looking for a permanent loving home --- could that be your's? .... *Wow! This boy is gorgeous. Setter or Retriever (?) mixed with Weimaraner, male of 7 months = still a pup!. Smitty has a reddish coat with the eyes, head, body all very similar to a Weimaraner. Sweet friendly boy, slightly cautious but likes attention. Smitty was found in a rural kill shelter with only a few days left. Now here in Toledo --- he's safe and needs an active loving family with a large fenced yard to play. Seems fine with most other dogs - cats we don't know. Does well with respectful children. Coming along on potty training, crate trained and keeps clean. Work needed with leash walking and is improving on manners. Quick learner using positive reinforcement. Knows a few commands. Seems sensitive & willing to please. Neutered, vaccines up to date and heartworm negative.. Adoption fee $170.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SMITTY, a Toledo Vizsla/Setter (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Vizsla/Setter (Unknown Type) for sale in Toledo, or seeking a Vizsla/Setter (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Toledo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toledo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toledo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Vizsla/Setter (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Vizsla/Setter (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toledo paves the way for another one to be saved.
