Tank's Story...
Tank is a young puppy that is full of spunk! He is super social. He thinks he's a lap dog and LOVES attention. He loves toys and will retrieve. Tank needs some work with obedience being that he is still a puppy and he does not like anyone near his food bowl. That is the only reason we will not place him with young children. Tank listens to corrections and respects people. He may be too much puppy for cats. Tank is a smart boy and settles nicely after he gets some play out of him.

All dogs at our shelter have been started on a vaccination program, de-wormed, treated with Revolution for fleas, spayed/neutered and microchipped. The adoption fee for a dog is $200. If you are a PA resident, you will also be required to purchase a dog license. There are 2 licensing options : annual licenses are $6.50 and are renewable every January. Lifetime licenses are $31.50 and never need to be renewed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tank, a Honesdale Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Honesdale, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Honesdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Honesdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Honesdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Honesdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
