Cherry's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, and up to date with shots.

Cherry's Story...
Cherry is a 7 year old Dachshund that is being put up for adoption by her owners because they have a 2 year old and a 1 year old and just not enough time to give Cherry the attention she needs. Cherry has only had this one home her entire life and she is nervous with strangers at first. Although Cherry is good with the children in the home we feel that Cherry would do best in a quiet adult home. Cherry gets along well with other dogs, she is housebroken, up to date with shots and spayed. For more information on Cherry please contact 718.595.2161 or email fofadopt@nyc.rr.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cherry, a Oakland Gardens Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Oakland Gardens, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Oakland Gardens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland Gardens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland Gardens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland Gardens paves the way for another one to be saved.
