Scarlett's Story...
Scarlett is an adorable 3-4 year old girl and weighs about 60 pounds. She knows how to sit, shake, roll-over, and when you tell her to "go home" (and carry a treat!) she goes right into her crate. She is pretty quiet around the house too and just loves to be around her foster family and lay right next to them. Scarlett is a beautiful girl, and gets compliments everywhere she goes!

She would be best in a home with no cats, as they are so little that she likes to chase them and sometimes the cats don't appreciate it. She is great with other dogs, but sometimes enjoys watching them play instead of actually joining in. She is a wonderful dog, and whoever gets her will be very lucky.

Scarlett is being fostered by Victoria in St. Augustine, FL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scarlett, a Gainesville Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Gainesville, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Gainesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gainesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gainesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gainesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
